One of the main events held during the of Santa Tecla Fair is the Nit del Cremat or Cremat Night, which takes place on the Friday of the fair and consists of a dance of sardanas and in the interlude, a flaming rum drink called cremat is served. Most editions of Cremat Night feature a rendition of Antoni Agramunt's sardana entitled The Fire of Castelló.

Cremat Night is a traditional activity held by the organisation Amics de la Sardana [Friends of the Sardana] that originally came about to revive the traditional Fair of Santa Tecla. Since one of the symbols of Santa Tecla was fire, the organisation searched for an event that contained this element. This is how the Cremat Night was born.
